Mr Castle is the leading authority on Indonesia and one of its most experienced business advisors on Indonesia. He has lived in Jakarta since 1977, therefore has almost 30 years' experience working in, observing and analysing the Indonesian economy, its political developments and the business operating environment.

Mr Castle founded Business Advisory Strategies Indonesia, which is now called CastleAsia. He has directed more than 100 industrial research and economic forecasting projects and has been an advisor to MNCs on market entry strategy and public policy advocacy.

CastleAsia was previously the Economist Group's Indonesia Associate for some eight years. Today it continues to run a successful senior business executive programme in Jakarta, the Indonesia Country Program. Mr Castle has organised and chaired a number of business investment forums in Indonesia including two Indonesia Government Roundtables under the Economist Conferences brand. CastleAsia organises a number of business conferences in Jakarta which Mr Castle chairs. CastleAsia is also now part of a research and advisory network, Asian Expertise (AXP) which conducts syndicated research projects.

Mr Castle has authored various publications on Indonesia including Who's Who in Yudhoyono's Indonesia (co-authored 2005), Who's Who in Indonesian Politics (1999) and numerous other titles including The Indonesian Consumer (1989) and other SEA consumer market publications. He is interviewed regularly on local and international radio and television including CNN, CNBC, BBC.

He is frequently invited to present to Board members either at global headquarters or on occasions when a visit is scheduled to Asia. This could be a confidential personal briefing or a kick-off presentation at a regional strategy and planning meeting. He is also retained to be a guest speaker at small group client meetings and is also invited to provide keynote presentations at international business conferences.

Mr Castle is currently President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, a past-Chairman (and current Board Member) of the International Chamber of Indonesia (2000-2002), Board member of the US-Indonesia Society and sits on the Board of Advisors of Coca-Cola Indonesia."
