John Dykes is Asia's best-known sports broadcaster, appearing on screens from Indonesia to India as well as his hometown of Singapore. A writer, event host, speaker and content strategist and keen sportsman, John has spent 35 years in Asia. He was formerly the lead anchor for the International Premier League's content service and boasts a global following. He has covered major international sporting events -- football World Cups, Formula One, tennis Grand Slams, cricket, golf and rugby tournaments -- as well as Asia's premier football competitions for major media outlets across the region.
He has interviewed celebrities ranging from Jackie Chan to David Beckham and the Williams sisters. He has gained leadership insights from Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho, as well champion players and coaches from various other sports. John Dykes is a true all-rounder with a wide range of experience from showbiz reporting to covering the world's biggest sporting events and interviewing celebrities. Examples of his events experience include;
- Moderating a fireside session for Standard Chartered Bank's C-Suite executives, investors and government ministers in Singapore on best leadership practices, featuring Liverpool Football Club manager Jurgen Klopp and LFC CEO Billy Hogan
- Hosting and also speaking at a seminar for Lenovo's CIOs with a theme of "Smarter Changes the Game" focused on technological innovation and synergies between sport and business.
- Speaking and appearing as a panellist at a Fox Sports Asian symposium on Diversity and Inclusion in sport and the workplace
- Hosting and being a panellist at various conferences in Asia, including SportsPro Asia, All That Matters and Social Selling.
- Speaking MPs at London's Houses of Parliament as part of a social inclusion event organised by the Premier League
- Addressing 30,000-strong crowds for the Premier League Live roadshow
John is a highly experienced and entertaining event host, panellist, emcee and speaker who uses anecdotes and insights from his experience in the sports industry to speak about Leadership, teambuilding & innovation, teamwork and decision making in pressurised "live" situations, diversity and inclusion in sport and the workplace, technological innovation and synergies between sport and business, dDigital disruption and business transformation, and the globalisation of sporting franchises.
John is currently a production consultant and show host for the SCM (Indonesia) live coverage of the English Premier League and host of "The Top Corner" weekly chat-show and podcast for Sony Sports Network. From 2017-2021 he created and hosted "The John Dykes Show", a thrice-weekly prime time show aimed at engaging with Asia's football fans for Fox Sports. From 2010-2017 he anchored worldwide TV broadcast of the Premier League specialising in live Matchday coverage as well as the studio-based preview and discussion show Football Today, and from 1997-2010 he was the ESPN Star Sports commentator and host.
John is a graduate of Warwick University UK, and now lives in Singapore.
